Birthplace: Le Mars, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Donna May Gellerman, age 86, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her residence after an extended illness. Donna was born October 18, 1932 in Le Mars, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Florence (Luikens) Gellerman. Donna graduated from Le Mars High School and attended nurses training in Chicago, Illinois. After earning her degree, she worked in Chicago and Florida before moving to Red Oak, Iowa in the mid 1980's. Donna was the Director of Nurses at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a longtime member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Red Hat Society, Altrusa, Business and Professional Women, and Red Oak Public Library Board, serving as President in many of these organizations. Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers: Earl and Bernard Gellerman. She is survived by many extended family members and many friends including her beloved cats: Teddy and Tinker. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
