Birthplace: Central City, NE Resided In: Red Oak, IA Donna Erritt, age 92 of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Oskaloosa, Iowa Hospital. Donna was born April 11, 1925 in Central City, Nebraska the daughter of James and Mearle (Byrd) Marshall. At a young age, Donna moved with her family to Omaha. She graduated in 1943 from St. Cecilia Catholic School in Omaha. She worked at Martin Bomber Plant in Bellevue, Nebraska during World War II. She was "Rosie the Riveter." It was there that she met her husband Earl Campbell. Donna and Earl were married on May 25, 1946 and made their home in Sac City, Iowa. She worked many years at Lewis Clothing Store in Sac City. She enjoyed going to market in Chicago to buy clothes for the store. Earl passed away on November 3, 1962. On November 20, 1969 she was united in marriage to Clair Erritt in Sac City. She worked at Sac City Drug for many years. Clair passed away in May 1979. Donna became a CNA after his death and worked many years at the Park View Manor in Sac City. In December 1986, Donna moved to Red Oak, Iowa to be near her daughter, Jane Myers and her family. She worked at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Dietary Department. Donna retired twice from MCMH but continued to volunteer at the hospital. She enjoyed her family, especially all her grandchildren to whom she gave many wonderful memories. She made sure she dressed up everyday and had all her make-up on. In January 2018, Donna moved to Northern Mahaska Care facility in Oskaloosa, Iowa to be near her granddaughter, Jennifer Coon and her family. Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands: Earl Campbell and Clair Erritt; infant sister: Kathaleen; brother: James Marshall Jr.; sisters: Darlene Ancona and husband Joe and Mary Lou Harvey and husband William. Survivors include her children: Jane Myers and husband Allan of Red Oak, Iowa; Sue Pettit and husband Burdette of Mesa, Arizona; step-children: Mary Jean Bunting and husband Keith of Holiday Isle, Arkansas; Paula Weisenborn of Atlantic Beach, Florida; Brian Erritt and wife Kristie of Sac City, Iowa; grandchildren: Jennifer Coon and husband Chad of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Erik Myers and wife Shawna of Clear Lake, Iowa; Ryan Myers and wife Brandee of Tiffin, Iowa; Zach Myers of Portland, Oregon, Joel Myers and special friend Alex of Austin, Texas; and Kelsey Myers of Chicago, Illinois. Donna was also blessed with many great grandchildren whom she adored and sister-in-law: Lucy Burrell of Omaha, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Oak. Burial will take place at 3 PM at Cory Grove Cemetery in Sac City, Iowa Visitation with the family will be held from 5 PM - 7 PM Monday, April 9, 2018 at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
