Birthplace: Rural Hastings, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Dolores J. Goff, age 66, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away, Thursday, July 10, 2008 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha after an extended illness. Dolores Jean Goff was born July 24, 1941 near Hastings, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Jeretta (Adair) Frink. She was raised in the Red Oak area graduating from the Red Oak High School. She worked at the Gambles Store in Red Oak and was united in marriage to Raymond Townsend. They moved to Colorado in the early 1960's and lived there until Dolores moved back to Red Oak in 1977. She was united in marriage to Ron Goff on May 26, 1983. Dolores worked at the Eveready Battery Plant until the company closed the factory. She enjoyed camping, traveling, cooking, going out to eat and baking cookies for her grandkids, who were her whole world. She would even go fishing and played golf because Ron enjoyed doing those things. She was always very involved in anything her kids were involved with. Their house was the place all the kids wanted to gather. Preceding her in death were her parents; her infant brother: Edward; brother: Jimmy in 1954; sister: Loraine in 1978; brother: Donald in 1991; and sister: Betty in 2003. Survivors include her husband: Ron Goff of Red Oak, Iowa; sons: Mike Townsend of Aurora, Colorado and Rob Townsend and wife Elaine of Aurora, Colorado; step-sons: Kenny Goff and Dennis Goff both of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; grandchildren: Brandon Townsend of De Bary, Florida; Christopher Townsend of Aurora, Colorado; Anthony Townsend and wife Salinda of Erie, Colorado; Jessica Townsend of Aurora, Colorado; and Ken Goff and Justin Goff both of Destin, Florida; great granddaughter: Allison; brother-in-law: David Schmid of Red Oak, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Rescue Unit. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
