Birthplace: Watertown, SD Resided In: Red Oak, IA Dianne Marie Anderson, age 71, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 11, 2016 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Dianne was born December 15, 1944 in Watertown, South Dakota the daughter of Virgil and Elsie (Goodrich) Erickson. She was raised in South Dakota graduating from Watertown High School. Dianne then attended Northern State College. She was united in marriage to Kenard Kucker in July of 1966 in Watertown, South Dakota. Three children were born to this union: Dana, Darin, and Christopher. The family moved to Red Oak, Iowa where Dianne worked as a paraprofessional for Red Oak Community Schools for over 37 years. During her years in Red Oak she met and married Dick Anderson on July 30, 1988. Dianne had a true passion for special education children, especially Corey Travis. She had an amazing love for plants, tending to her flowers, and loved cardinals. She was an avid sports enthusiast cheering on the Vikings, the Twins, the Cubs, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Dianne was a faithful member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her husband: Dick Anderson of Red Oak; children: Dana Kucker and wife Renee of Sheridan, WY; Darin Kucker and wife Tamera of Aberdeen, SD; and Christopher Kucker and wife Amy of Groton, SD; grandchildren: Debra Alvarado of Lubbock, TX; Stephanie Craft of Watertown, SD, and Audrey Kucker of Watertown, SD; Chase, Payton, Braden, Kara, and Mary Kucker of Aberdeen, SD; Kaylin, Korbin, Keegan, and Kyson Kucker of Groton, SD; great grandchildren: Gage, Adalynn, Paige, and Olivia; step-children: Craig Anderson and wife Joyce of Lincoln, NE and Daniel Anderson and wife Tracie of Omaha, NE; step-grandchildren: Eli Plunkett of Moorehead, MN; Keegan, Macy, and Lincoln Anderson of Lincoln, NE; Kierstyn, Mitchel, Jacob, and Haily Anderson of Omaha, NE; sister: Bev Coan and husband Roger of Watertown, SD; brothers: Edward Erickson and wife Bonnie of Virginia and Steven Erickson (Eileen Hoeke) of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law: Sally Turnure and husband Earl of Independence, MO; her beloved dog: Rascal; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Recitation of the Rosary will be held 7 PM Monday, December 19, 2016 with visitation with the family to follow until 8:30 PM at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Interment of the cremated remains will take place in Prairie Hills Cemetery in Bradley, South Dakota at a later date. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
