Diana Dolores "Diane" Gregg, age 79, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 11th 2025, after an extended illness.

Diane was born November 6, 1945, in Clarinda, Iowa; the daughter of Frederick and Geraldine "Gerry" (Loghry) Heuer. She grew up in Guss, Corning, and Villisca before moving to Red Oak, where she graduated from Red Oak High School with the Class of 1963.

Her career began at the Red Oak Learning Resource Center, and in Dr. Fickel's office. Later she practiced the art of numbers with her mother at Heuer Accounting, where she honed her talent for accounting. Diane eventually moved to Colorado with her two children, Shellie and Shad. There, she met Mark Gregg, and on October 31, 1981, they were married in Estes Park, Colorado, blending their families together with Mark's sons, David and Mark.

Not long after, the family relocated to Arizona, where Diane continued her accounting career and co-owned a landscape company with Mark. Over the years, Diane and Mark's journey took them across the country, including Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Southern California. Along the way, Diane became a successful accountant and business owner, managing several enterprises with skill and dedication. She also found joy in the successes of her children, her ever-growing family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 2023, after decades of hard work, Diane retired from Rubey Realty and remained with Mark in their cherished hometown of Red Oak.

Diane will be remembered for her kind heart, warm smile, and joyful laugh that brightened every room. She expressed her creativity in sewing and crafts during her younger years, and throughout her life she loved baking, especially during the holidays with her family. She was an avid reader and loved books. In her later years, she cherished spending time with her beloved coffee friends in Red Oak and enjoyed wintering in Arizona with Mark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Harly Sellers; and several dear aunts and uncles.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Mark Gregg and their children: David Gregg and wife Stephanie of Colorado; Shellie Ruge of Arizona; Mark Gregg and wife Bobbie of Oregon; and Shad Sellers and wife Jennifer of Arizona; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the new location of LeRette Funeral Chapel at 525 E. Ratliff Road in Red Oak. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. We request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Diane's memory to the First United Methodist Church or The Red Oak Fire Department.
