Dennis Wayne Johnson, age 70, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at his home. Dennis was born May 14, 1951 in Shenandoah, Iowa, the son of Wayne and Margaret (Grape) Johnson. He graduated from Red Oak High School. Over the years, Dennis worked as a security guard and provided janitorial services in the Omaha area. Dennis was united in marriage to Anita Hersh Redd on August 29, 2020, in Red Oak, Iowa. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church. Dennis enjoyed playing golf and watching baseball and football. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife Anita Johnson of Red Oak; son: Jammie Johnson and wife Jennifer of Council Bluffs, Iowa; grandchildren: Janessa and Collin Johnson; brothers: Tim Johnson and wife Donna of Stanton, Iowa and Matt Johnson and wife Janine of Essex, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Crossroads Community Church in Red Oak. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with cremation services.
