Birthplace: Wales, Iowa Resided In: Wales, Iowa Delvin Duane Behrens, age 75, of Wales, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. Delvin was born March 27, 1943 on the family farm near Wales, Iowa, the son of Julius and Della (Croghan) Behrens. He graduated in the class of 1960 from Wales Lincoln High School and started farming with his dad. He also helped other farmers throughout the area as well as serving in the Iowa National Guard for three years. Delvin was still living on the same farm where he was born. He was a longtime member of the Wales Presbyterian Church and currently a member of Red Oak Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Farm Bureau. Delvin's passion was farming and he also enjoyed taking drives through the countryside. Preceding him in death were his infant brother: Gilbert; his parents; and brothers: Sherwood and Darrell Behrens. Survivors include his brother: William Behrens of Wales, IA; sisters: Julia Williams and husband Darwin of Villisca, IA and Darlene Proctor and husband Dale of Emerson, IA; sisters-in-law: Ann Behrens of Atlantic, IA and Lila Behrens of Red Oak, IA; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday December 14, 2018 at the Red Oak Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Treynor, Iowa Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Presbyterian Church or the American Diabetes Association. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
