Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Deanna L. Evans, age 29, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Monday, April 30, 2007 at her residence after an extended illness. Deanna Lynn Evans was born June 17, 1977 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Dennis and Ruth (Suess) Vanderhoof. Deanna had been a lifelong resident of Red Oak where she had worked in various different jobs. Most recently she had been working at the Farmer Mercantile C-Store. Deanna loved fishing and going to the farm, football, NASCAR Racing, animals, and all motor sports. Preceding her in death were her step-daughter: Brooklyn Baucom and father-in-law: Kenny Lasley. Survivors include her husband: Shane Evans of Red Oak, Iowa; step-sons: Corey Dolph of Red Oak, Iowa; Taylor Evans of Villisca, Iowa and Blake Evans of Villisca, Iowa; mother: Ruth Vanderhoof of Red Oak, Iowa; Father: Dennis Vanderhoof of Red Oak, Iowa; brother: Kevin Vanderhoof and friend Saundra Stallings of Yuma, Colorado; sister: Rhonda Sowers and husband Jeff of Carson, Iowa; nephew: Devin Vanderhoof; mother-in-law: Dorothy Lasley of Red Oak, Iowa; brother-in-law: Herrold Lasley of Red Oak, Iowa; aunts and uncles: Karla Johnson and husband Troy of Omaha, NE, Jeff Vanderhoof and wife Amy of Villisca, IA, Diane Hicks and husband Jim of Red Oak, IA, Chris Nerhus and husband Reg of Ft. Madison, IA, Linda Miller and husband Chuck of DeWitt, IA, Georgia Van Roekel of Montezuma, IA, Janis Baltisberger of Newton, IA, Steven Suess of Des Moines, IA and Carl Pearce of Stanton, IA, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Jerry Dietz officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
