Birthplace: Dolliver, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa David Anderson, age 57, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Friday, July 27, 2001 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. David Alan Anderson was born September 29, 1943 in Dolliver, Iowa the son of Paul and Sylvia (Cayler) Anderson. He graduated from Lincoln Central High School and later married Nancy Theophilus on November 2, 1963 in Estherville, Iowa. David was in the restaurant business since 1975 and most recently He and Nancy owned and operated the Johnny's Steakhouse in Red Oak. They sold the business in 1999. David was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law: O.D. Theophilus; grandson: Jacob Owen; brother-in-law: Tom Theophilus; and a sister-in-law: Elaine Anderson. Survivors include his wife: Nancy Anderson of Red Oak, Iowa; son: Jay Anderson and his wife Cindy of Junction City, Kansas; daughter: Christy Hadel and her husband Marty of Omaha, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren: Lucas and Linsay; 4 brothers: Duane Anderson of Knoxville, Iowa; Dean Anderson and his wife Delores of Jackson, Minnesota; Paul Anderson, Jr. and his wife Fern of Dunnell, Minnesota; and Clair Anderson of Dolliver, Iowa; Mother-in-law: Lorraine Theophilus of Estherville, Iowa; sister-in-law: Cindy Theophilus of Mishawaka, Indiana; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Suzanne Hewett officiating. Visitation will be held from 7-8 PM Monday, July 30, 2001 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. A private family burial of ashes will take place prior to the memorial service. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Relay for Life. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
