Birthplace: Lyman, Iowa Resided In: Elliott, Iowa Darla Kaye Milner Parsons, age 64, of Elliott, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Darla was born June 20, 1953 the daughter of Maurice and Dorothy Proctor. She was raised in the Lyman area and was united in marriage to Larry Milner on June 29, 1969. They lived all of their married life in Elliott, Iowa. Larry passed away on February 14, 1995 and Darla later moved to West Bend, Iowa. Darla married Chuck Parsons and they lived in Fairmont, Minnesota where she worked at the Holiday Inn in the housekeeping department before moving back to Elliott several months ago. Darla enjoyed being near her family again and over the years enjoyed crocheting. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband: Larry Milner. Survivors include her husband: Chuck Parsons of Algona, IA; son: Thomas Milner and wife Janelle of Red Oak, IA; daughter: Ann Frank and husband BJ of Elliott, IA; grandchildren: Priscilla Milner, Chloe Milner, Haylee Frank, Mia Frank, and Aiden Frank; great grandson: Alec Cline; brothers-in-law: Gord Milner of Elliott, IA and Dick Milner and wife Karen of Elliott, IA; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Nelson of Elliott, IA and Mary Ann Reynolds and husband Lyle of Omaha, NE; step-children: Cheryl Ford and husband Stan of Ventura, IA and Kim Chada and husband Larry of Forest City, IA; step-grandchildren: Greg Zearing of Mason City, IA and Ellen Chada of Forest City, IA; step-great grandchildren: Asmodel and Danika Zearing of Mason City, IA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held 3 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Hillside Cemetery at Elliott, Iowa. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
