Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Craig D. Alm, age 56, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Red Oak Healthcare Community. Craig was born October 28, 1960 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Gustaf and Ruth Marie (Johnson) Alm. He attended Yorktown Special School and later Nishna Productions working at the Shenandoah Workshop. He was a member of the Fremont Lutheran Church at Nyman, Iowa, loved music and singing, and was a huge fan of Spiderman, the Wizard of Oz, and the Power Rangers. Preceding him in death were his mother: Ruth Marie; and brother: Rodney Alm. Survivors include his father: Gustaf Alm of Red Oak, IA; brother: Kevin Alm of Red Oak, IA; sister: Joyce Nichols of Boston, MA; sister-in-law: Debbie Alm of Imogene, IA; nephews: Benjamin Nichols and Andrew Nichols of Kansas City; niece: Jana Bengtson of Imogene, IA; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Fremont Lutheran Church at Nyman, Iowa. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Nyman. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Fremont Lutheran Church. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeal Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
