Birthplace: San Diego, CA Resided In: Red Oak, IA Clinton G. Johnson, age 66, of Red Oak, Iowa formerly Tiffin, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, January 9, 2012. Clinton Gary Johnson was born April 26, 1945 in San Diego, California the son of Stanely and Ellen (O'Brien) Johnson. He was raised in the Seal Beach, California area and served in the Army from 1962-1965 in Germany with the 509th Airborne Division. He moved to Red Oak, Iowa in 1966 and later Ottumwa and Iowa City. He lived most of his life in Tiffin, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Susan Orr on March 25, 1967 in Bettendorf, Iowa. Over the years Clinton worked for Earl May, Firestone, FS Services, and even went back to school and received an OPA Degree in 1986 from Kirkwood Community College. Most recently Clinton worked for Culvers Restaurant. He enjoyed guns, hunting, motorcycles, fixing clocks, and collecting magnets. Survivors include his wife: Susan Johnson of Iowa City, Iowa; daughter: Donna Marie McIntyre; step-father: Charlie Genzel of Seal Beach, CA; sisters and brothers: Lori Sells of Salt Lake City, UT; Paula Robledo of Santa Monica, CA; Jeff Genzel of California; Steven Johnson of Red Oak, IA; Tom Johnson of Storm Lake, IA; Rod Johnson of Red Oak, IA; Hollette Webb of Villisca, IA; Angie Clemens of Stanton, IA; Jeanette Lucky of Red Oak, IA; and Lori Johnson of Malmo, NE; the children he raised as grandkids: Danny Orr of Council Bluffs, IA; Kyle Pack of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Amy Emerole of Ladson, SC; and their children: Leandre Clinton Cobb, Honesty Cobb, and Maliyah Marie Barnwell; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside memorials services will be held 1 PM Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Quincy Cemetery in Adams County, Iowa. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
