Birthplace: Clarinda, IA Resided In: Red Oak, IA Clarence Lowell Rucker, age 86, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak. Clarence Lowell Rucker was born September 9, 1926 in Clarinda, Iowa the son of Clarence and Florence (Bramble) Rucker. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was united in marriage to Mary Irene Graham o n May 2, 1945 in Troy Kansas. Lowell and Mary lived in many different places over the years. They moved back to the southwest Iowa area in 1964. Lowell retired from Dolly Madison when they were living in Lincoln, Nebraska. Lowell has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak for the past six years. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife: Mary; brothers: Don and Lee Rucker; and grandson: Chad Rucker. Survivors include his children: Larry Rucker and wife Phyllis of Clarinda, IA; Linda McAlpin and husband Dick of Red Oak, IA; and Lisa Hernandez of Lincoln, NE; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers: Bob Rucker and wife Dorothy of Bedford, IA and Keith Rucker and wife Jo of Cheyenne, WY; sisters: Pat Macrander of Ashland, NE and Betty Waltermyer of Fremont, NE; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Memorials services will be held at a later date with burial of the cremated remains in the Methodist Grove Cemetery near Nodaway, Iowa. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
