Birthplace: Shenandoah, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Cheryl Ann Lewis, age 73, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Cheryl was born September 2, 1944 in Shenandoah, Iowa the daughter of Harley Winston and Alice Juanita (Rounds) Bartles. She was raised in Shenandoah where she graduated high school. Cheryl was united in marriage to Herbert Lewis on November 20, 1967 in Maryville, Missouri. They moved to Nebraska City and then to Red Oak. She worked at the Thos. D. Murphy Co. for 25 years and then worked as manager for the south Casey's until her retirement. Cheryl's spare time was devoted to her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Herbert Lewis on November 30, 2014; brother: Ron Bartles; and sister-in-law: Jeanie Scott. Survivors include her children: Rick Lewis of Creston, IA and Sandra Taylor (Jason Dumler) of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Rick Lewis, Jr. of Creston, IA; Harlee Lewis of Creston, IA; Micayla Taylor of Red Oak, IA; Elizabeth Dumler of Council Bluffs, IA; and Trisha Dalrymple of Red Oak, IA; brother-in-law: Guy Scott of South Bend, IN; sister-in-law: Susie Bartles of Shenandoah, IA; and many other relatives and friends. There will be no services at this time. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
