Cheryl Lynn Jones, age 40, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the Griswold Care Center in Griswold, Iowa. Cheryl was born March 18, 1982, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph Jones and Monica Anderson. Cheryl grew up in Red Oak and graduated from Red Oak High School in 2000. She worked at CDS until it closed then worked at Direct TV. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her kid's sporting events.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents: Marlys Jones, Richard "Woody" Anderson and Jonene Anderson and step-father:  Nick Polkowske. Survivors include her children: Alexa Gilleland and companion Brad Spring, Hunter Gilleland and Brooklyn Gilleland all of Red Oak; grandson: Mason Spring of Red Oak; mother: Monica Anderson Hull of Wisconsin Dells, WI; father: Joseph Jones of Red Oak; sister: Lori Betts and husband Cliff of Red Oak; grandpa: Bill Jones of Red Oak; companion: Kyle Smith of Shenandoah, IA; and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family of Cheryl Jones.
