Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Villisca, Iowa Catharine Ellen "Cathi" Fulton, age 74, of Villisca, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her home. Cathi was born November 27, 1946 in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Orville and Mary Margaret "Peg" (Cozad) Fast. She graduated from Villisca High School in 1965 and attended Barnes Beauty School to be a beautician. Cathi was united in marriage to Darrel Fulton on October 29, 1966 in Villisca, Iowa. They made their home in the Villisca area for most of their married life. They lived for a short time in Wyoming. Cathi worked for Good Samaritan Society and later NSK in Clarinda retiring in 2014. Cathi was a woman of faith and was a member of the Villisca United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the PEO Chapter CH, the Nodaway Saddle Club, Adams County Cowbells, Page County Cattlemen, Villisca Blue Jay Boosters, and Southwest Valley Boosters. She loved spending time with the grandkids and attending all of their activities, gardening and canning, tending her flowers, cooking, sewing, and reading her Bible. She sent Bible verses to her family and friends every Monday morning. Her family describes her as faithful, very giving, loving, nurturing, the "Rock" of the family, and selfless, always ready to help someone in need. She was known for sending cards for every occasion to her friends and family. Preceding her in death were her father, Orville Fast and her brother, Rich Fast. Survivors include her husband: Darrel Fulton of Villisca, IA; daughters: Jodi Haer and husband Steve; Shona Means and husband Clint; Kadee Myers and husband Shane; and Laci Schafer and husband Brian all of Villisca, IA; grandchildren: Morganne Sindelar and husband Alec of Tiffin, IA; Alexandria Haer of Omaha, NE; Maggie Haer of Villisca, IA; Kelsey Carlson and husband Jacob of Elliott, IA; Tyler Means of Villisca, IA; Tallen Myers and Cade Myers of Villisca, IA; and Kase Schafer and Krew Schafer of Villisca, IA; mother: Peg Fast of Villisca, IA; brothers and sisters: Larry Fast and wife Norma of Nodaway, IA; Doug Fast and wife Mary of Omaha, NE; Debby Kenworthy and husband Jim of Seneca, SC; Chuck Fast and wife Mary Beth of Elliott, IA; and Sherri Slobodnik and husband Mike of Bloomington, MN; sister-in-law: Kay Fast of Villisca, IA; brother-in-law: Lee Fulton and wife Shari of Nodaway, IA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Villisca United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the North Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 4-6 PM Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Villisca United Methodist Church. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements. Masks are required.
