Birthplace: Villisca, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Carroll Eugene Thuman, age 75, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at his home after an extended illness. Carroll was born August 30, 1945, in Villisca, Iowa, the son of Leo and Doris (Goodwin) Thuman. Carroll lived in Stanton, Iowa on the farm for many years until moving to Red Oak in 2013. He worked for Eaton Corporation in Shenandoah where he retired. He was a hard worker and could master anything he attempted. Carroll was very creative and was an excellent artist. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his sister: Mary Jones of Red Oak, IA; brother: Jim Thuman of Coon Rapids, IA; nieces: Tammy Jones of Hastings, IA; Sandy Verbsky of Des Moines, IA; Angela Thuman of Clarinda, IA; and Ashley Mikkelsen of Maryville, MO; nephew: Michael Scott Jones of Hastings, IA; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial visitation will be held from 11 AM until Noon on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
