Birthplace: York, PA Resided In: Red Oak, IA Carroll Raymond Kraft was born May 19, 1923 in York, PA, the son of Charles Henry and Bertha Estelle (Daughtery) Kraft. He passed away on Friday evening, August 2, 2013 at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 14 days. Carroll grew up and graduated from high school in York, PA. Following high school he served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. On December 16, 1944 he was united in marriage to Margaret Jane Orme in Baltimore, MD. This union was blessed with two children, Karan and Roger. Carroll farmed for 10 years near Nodaway, IA and then worked as a seed corn salesman for many years after that. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge as well as a member of the Shriners and American Legion. He enjoyed painting and watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers. His true love was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kraft of Red Oak, IA; his children, Karan Johnson and her husband Spencer of Red Oak, IA, Roger Kraft and his wife Rita of Norfolk, NE; seven grandchildren, Kai Swanson and her husband Mark of Red Oak, IA, Matt Pendergraft and his wife Kelli of Red Oak, IA, Scott Pendergraft and his wife Rachel of Harrison, AR, Suzanne Kraft of Norfolk, NE, Bradley Kraft and his wife Paula of Kearney, NE, Tiffany Livingston and her husband Scott of Omaha, NE, Denise Kraft of Norfolk, NE; several great and great-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Don Orme and his wife Betty of Minden, IA; along with many other relatives and friends.
