Carl Allen Newsome, age 78, of Red Oak, Iowa, formerly Emerson, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at his home after a brief illness. Carl was born March 1, 1946, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of Paul and Doris Newsome.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two sons: Andrew and Matthew Newsome. Survivors include his wife: Suzanne Newsome of Red Oak, Iowa; daughter: Jennifer Newsome of Omaha, Nebraska; grandsons: Taylor Newsome and wife Heather; Elliott Hoffman; and Gavin Newsome; great grandchildren: Hudson and Valerie; brother: Gary Newsome; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel at 1995 G Ave. in Red Oak, Iowa.
