Bonnie Joan Jones, age 40, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Bonnie was born August 15, 1984, in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Douglas and Denise (Rasmussen) Jones. She graduated from Griswold High School and attended Iowa Western Community College as well as beauty school. She worked many jobs throughout the years including CDS, PayPal, and the Heartland Inn in Council Bluffs. Bonnie was a very kind soul who loved animals, tending to her flowers and watching the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and movies. She often quoted lines from many different movies. Her greatest love was her daughter, Tessa.

Preceding her in death were her father: Doug Jones; and her grandparents: Clyde and Naomi Jones and Henry and Pauline Rasmussen. Survivors include her daughter: Tessa Jones of Red Oak; mother: Denise Wilson and husband Mark of Elliott, IA; brother: Michael Jones and Jenny Jackson of Red Oak; significant other: Tyce Watts and his children: Nahla, Trinity, Tayvin, and Talya of Red Oak; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel with a time of lunch and fellowship to follow at the Montgomery County History Center.
