Birthplace: Quitman, MO Resided In: Clarinda, IA formerly Stanton Bonnie Jean Baumbach, age 74, of Clarinda, Iowa formerly Stanton, Iowa, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Eiler Place in Clarinda. Bonnie was born February 21, 1943 in Quitman, Missouri the daughter of Everett and Mable (Brownfield) Heard. She was raised in the northwest Missouri area. After her school days, Bonnie lived in Blanchard, Coin, Corning, and Rockport before moving to California. She eventually moved back to Iowa living in Red Oak, Villisca, Essex, and Stanton over the years. She was united in marriage to Dave Baumbach on August 27, 1986 at Wesley Chapel in Mills County, Iowa. They made their home in Stanton, Iowa. Bonnie worked at Eveready Battery Plant for many years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Bonnie loved quilting, sewing, reading, gardening, canning, camping, fishing and spending time outdoors. She treasured her family and her friends. Most recently, Bonnie made her home at the Eiler Place in Clarinda where the staff and residents became a part of her extended family. Bonnie currently was attending Hillside Missionary Church in Clarinda. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Dave Baumbach on May 8, 2008; brothers: Bill and Buck Heard; nephew: Terry Heard; and sisters-in-law: Donitta Heard and Nancy Heard. Survivors include her children: Shelly Graham of Clarinda, IA; Billy Worl and wife Jenny of Clarinda, IA; and Denise Meisinger and husband Rick of Stanton, IA; grandchildren: Jamie Beals of Ranchita, CA; Andrew Enarson of Ames, IA; Megan Guffey of Red Oak, IA; Jared Meisinger of Stanton, IA; Kevin Worl and wife Tasha of Clarinda, IA; Jacob Worl and wife Krystal of Ozark, MO; and Jacqueline Brown and husband Nick of Norwalk, IA; great grandchildren: Devika Wren Kettelsen, Emma and Macy Meisinger, Hannah, Ashlyn, and Emily Worl; and Harper Brown; siblings: Larry Heard of Shenandoah, IA; Judy Curry and husband Gene of Tillamook, OR; Donna Marple and husband Paul of Sharpsburg, IA; June Martin of Bedford, IA; and Dean Heard of Arizona; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. A memorial fund is being established in Bonnie's name. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
