Birthplace: Rural Atlantic, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Bonita Faye Miller, age 100, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society. Bonita was born September 12, 1914 on a farm North of Atlantic, Iowa the daughter of Lloyd A. and Reta L. (Johnson) Harris. She attended school at Pymosa No. 4 and graduated from Atlantic High School in 1932. She taught school until she was united in marriage to Lloyd "Puckett" Miller on September 5, 1936 in Atlantic, Iowa. Bonita moved to Red Oak in 1957 where she ran the Elm Tree Motel for 22 years retiring in 1979 at which time she moved back to Atlantic. In 2007 Bonita became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak. She was a long time member of the Buck Creek United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Aid. Bonita enjoyed traveling in her retirement years. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother: Glenn Harris; and granddaughter: Tamara Diane Miller. Survivors include her children: Delbert Miller and wife Barbara of Virginia Beach, VA; Phyllis Davidson of Kansas City, MO; and Sharon Rensch of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Cindy Kopietz of Virginia Beach, VA; Elizabeth Miller of Chesapeake, VA; Michael Davidson and wife Irene of Kansas City, MO; Richard Davidson and wife Donna of Santa Fe, NM; Jeffrey Davidson and wife Meliza of Rockwall, TX; Daniel Rensch and wife Carrie Clark of Red Oak, IA; and Kristina Skalberg and husband Bryan of Omaha, NE; many great and great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
