Blake Adam Kruse, age 42, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Blake was born November 30, 1982, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was raised in the Elliott and Griswold area, the son of Marcia and Dan Peterson. He attended school in Griswold, Iowa, and worked several places throughout the years including TRACO, HyVee for 16 years as assistant meat manager, and Pella for the past two years where he was the Production Coordinator in the encasement area. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles and watching football. He was a Ravens and Hawkeyes fan. Blake loved his job, loved to work, and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Marcia Jones Peterson. Survivors include his children: Ryelan, Breygan, and Kamdan "Kami" Kruse all of Red Oak, Iowa and their mother: Angela Kruse of Red Oak, Iowa; father: Daniel Peterson of Elliott, Iowa; brothers: Brendan Jones and wife Tricia of Belle Plaine, Iowa, and Paul Richard Kruse and wife Tabitha of Lakewood, Colorado; his aunt: Nancy Gray of Vinton, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Frankfort Cemetery in rural Montgomery County, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the family. The family requests that everyone wear their favorite football team apparel.
