Birthplace: Lane, OK Resided In: Stanton, Iowa formerly Red Oak, Iowa Billy Ray Leeper, age 65, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Accura Healthcare of Stanton, Iowa. Billy was born May 21, 1954 in Lane, Oklahoma, the son of Grady Wesley Leeper and Mildred Roof. He was raised in Oklahoma and moved to California and then Atlantic, Iowa before moving to Red Oak in 1977. Over the years, he worked for Eveready, D & L, and MINSA. His hobbies include fishing, playing solitaire, and watching NASCAR. Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters: Joyce Smith and Donna Jean Rodriguez; brothers: Harold Leeper and Eugene, Bob, Marion, Frank, and Donald Roof. Survivors include his son: Lyn Leeper of Red Oak, IA; granddaughters: McKenzie and Gabriella Leeper of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers: Charles Roof of Council Bluffs, IA and Willie Roof of Glenwood, IA; sister: Anna Mae Gould of Red Oak, IA; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with cremation services.
