Birthplace: Malvern, Iowa Resided In: Indianola, Iowa Billie Jean (Haden) Eastwood, age 86, of Indianola, Iowa, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society in Indianola. Billie Jean was born April 27, 1929 in Malvern, Iowa the sixth child of Joseph and Lottie (Wilson) Haden. She graduated from Malvern High School. Billie Jean married Delbert Eastwood and they lived in the Emerson and Red Oak area. They then moved to Council Bluffs, and later to Boone and Indianola. They enjoyed family trips to California, Florida, and stayed on many lakes in Minnesota. She loved spending time with her family. She was a very loving and giving person, putting others before herself. She liked flowers, music, sunsets, dancing, playing cards, games and word puzzles. Her hobbies over the years were making greeting cards, crafts, painting, and drawing pictures. Billie Jean enjoyed working at Spurgeons in Boone and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Indianola. Preceding her in death were her parents and sisters: Dorothy Haden; Marjorie Sanders; Josephine Pontow; and Janet Rainey. Survivors include her husband: Delbert of Indianola, IA; daughters: Barb Miller and husband Jerry of St. Mary's, IA and Deb Williams of Des Moines, IA; son: Ron Eastwood and wife Janeen of Pella, IA; grandchildren: Joel Miller (Jen Glenn), Alyssa Miller, Kristin Kann and husband Casey; Scott Williams, Kalen Ludwig and husband Kurt, and Kyle Eastwood; 4 great grandchildren; sister: Betty Bischoff of Snelling, CA; sisters-in-law: Marilyn Waterman of Omaha, NE; Kay Herzberg and husband Willard of Clarinda, IA; and Thelma Eastwood of Omaha, NE; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery in Montgomery County, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Central Iowa. A special thank you to Jill, Monica, Mary Jo, Don and all the Volunteers at HCI. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
