Birthplace: San Francisco, CA Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Bill Suey Hom, age 56, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Bill was born November 6, 1964, in San Francisco, California, the son of Quock Ngin and Lee Etta (Phillips) Hom. The family moved to Iowa in 1972 and Red Oak in 1974. Bill graduated from Red Oak Community High School in 1983 and attended Iowa Western Community College for a short time. After schooling, Bill lived in the Des Moines and Omaha area for many years. He worked in retail sales for many years and then Offutt Air Force Base. Most recently he was working with electrical installations of security systems. Bill moved back to Red Oak about four years ago. Survivors include his mother: Lee Etta Smith of Red Oak; sister: Cindy Hom and partner Dennis Bailey of Red Oak; brother: Scott Hom of Red Oak; aunt: Jerri Thomas and husband Ronald of Fair Oaks, California; uncle: Jabe Phillips of Checotah, Oklahoma; other relatives and many friends. There will be no services scheduled at this time. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
