Obituary

Belva Deloris "Dee" Keller, age 91, of Council Bluffs, Iowa formerly of Elliott, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Missouri Valley Hospital CHI in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Dee was born October 23, 1930 in Ridgeway, Missouri, the daughter of Albert and Irene (Gibson) Cook. She was united in marriage to Glen W. Carlson on January 3, 1947. Four children were born to this union: Glenda, Linda, Deloris, and Rich. They lived in Craig, Missouri, before moving to Woodbine, Iowa, in 1957. Dee moved to Elliott, Iowa in 1967 and was united in marriage to Antone "Tony" Keller on May 29, 1967 in Omaha, Nebraska. They lived in Elliott for many years. Several years after Tony's death, Dee moved to Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She eventually moved to Longview Assisted Living in Missouri Valley, Iowa for a short time. Dee enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching TV, and root beer floats.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Antone "Tony" Keller; and daughter: Linda Carlson. Survivors include her children: Glenda Erlewine and husband Pat of Woodbine, IA; Deloris "Sis" Daigh and husband Kermit of Fayetteville, AR; and Rich Carlson of Council Bluffs, IA; 10 grandchildren: Kevin Barnum and wife Kristan of Omaha, NE; Keith Barnum and Kelly Smith of Woodbine, IA; Kenneth Barnum and wife Emily of Woodbine, IA; Kert Barnum and wife Amanda of Woodbine, IA; Aaron Daigh and wife Jill of Lincoln, NE; Melinda Rector and husband Jason of Prairie Grove, AR; Rodney Carlson and wife Cheri of Council Bluffs, IA; Brenda Carlson of Council Bluffs, IA; Raymond Carlson of Council Bluffs, IA; and Darci Carlson of Norfolk, NE; many great and great great grandchildren; siblings: Leona Davis, Shirley Jane Nelson, Rosie Wilson, Sharon Barnum, Mary Avis and husband Merle, Danny Cook and wife Diane, and Albert Cook; and other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
