Jean attended Villisca Community Schools and graduated in 1949. She was a cheerleader and homecoming queen. Jean and Leland lived in the community until 1969 when they moved to California. Jean was a homemaker and mother to 4 children born between December, 1949 and March, 1954. In retirement she enjoyed road trips, playing cards, working on jigsaw puzzles, gardening, cooking meals for family and friends when she wasn't out in search of garage sales. She loved doting on her precious dogs, Flip, Flip the 2nd and Flip the 3rd.
