Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Georgetown, Texas Ms. Barbara Carol Douglas, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on November 14, 2013, at the age of 66. Ms. Douglas was born September 16, 1947, in Red Oak, Iowa to Jessie Lenore Smith and William Henry Douglas. Ms. Douglas lived most of her childhood in Iowa and moved to McAllen, Texas as a teenager where she graduated from high school. She resided in Texas the rest of her life. Ms. Douglas was employed by TexMix as an accounts payable manager. Ms. Douglas passed away at her home in Georgetown after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Ms. Douglas was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: George Douglas, Marge Bass, and Jeannie Green. Ms. Douglas is survived by two sons: Doug Padgett, Keith Padgett and wife Lauribeth, five grandchildren Ryan, Megan, Ethan, Eli, and Luke, all of Haynesville, Louisiana, brother: Bill Douglas and wife Barbara of Emerson, Iowa; sister: Joannie Moore of Cathedral City, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Emerson, Iowa Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
