Birthplace: Bronson, MI Resided In: Red Oak, IA Audrey Louise Perdue, age 81, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society. Audrey was born June 28, 1933 in Bronson, Michigan the daughter of Morris and Alma (Colpetsir) Clark. The family moved to Texas when Audrey was 16 years old and she graduated from high school in San Antonio. Audrey was united in marriage to Stanley Perdue on June 29, 1952 in New Braunfels, Texas. They moved back to the Red Oak area where Audrey worked several different places over the years including a nursing home, Union Carbide Company, Koltermans, and HyVee. Audrey enjoyed reading, collecting Fenton glassware, going to auctions, walking, tending to her flowers, her pets, and she always kept a very neat home. Audrey was also a member of the Stratton United Methodist Church. Stanley preceded her in death on October 7, 1996 and Audrey was united in marriage to Evan Perdue on April 24, 1999. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2007. Also preceding her in death were her parents; grandsons: Bruce Smith and Matthew McCalmont; and brothers: Lloyd and Duane Garberich. Survivors include her daughter: Beverly McCalmont and husband Mike of Council Bluffs, IA; son: Keith "Skeeter" Perdue and wife Connie of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Riley Perdue and wife Dyan of Chesapeake, VA; Whitney Shanker of Carson, IA; Matt Coates of Red Oak, IA; Ali Duysen and husband Austin of Red Oak, IA; Thomas McCalmont of Council Bluffs, IA; Teresa Ward of Racine, WI; and Kelly Ladwig and husband Travis of Tremont, IL; 14 great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Irvin Perdue and wife Helen of Carson, IA; sister-in-law: Linda Wilkinson and husband Ron of Red Oak, IA; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Wheeler Grove Cemetery in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the VFW or the Salvation Army. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
