Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Dixon, Missouri TSGT (Ret) Anthony James "Tony" Clark, son of Thomas LeRoy Clark and Jeanne Charlene (Abbott) VanFosson, was born September 4, 1969 in Red Oak, Iowa where he grew up. Tony attended school in Red Oak and graduated from Red Oak Community High School with the Class of 1988. Shortly after graduation, Tony entered the United States Air Force and served his country faithfully until his retirement in 2008. He had attained the rank of Tech Sergeant and earned several awards and commendations. While in the Air Force, Tony served as a fireman and did tours in England, Honduras, Uzbekistan, Kuwait, all over the desert (United Arab Emirates) and was stationed in Clear, Alaska for one year. While in the military, Tony continued his education and attended Airman Leadership School and the USAF Community College. On June 19, 1996, Tony was united in marriage to Jennifer Wilhelmina Quaschnick in Deadwood, South Dakota. They shared over 25 years of marriage together and were blessed with two children, Emily and Tarra. In 2010, Tony continued serving his country as a fire inspector with the Fort Leonard Wood Fire Department. He enjoyed the camaraderie between the firemen and the different fire departments in the area. In 2012, the family moved to the Dixon, Missouri area where Tony enjoyed cattle farming, hunting, and fishing. He also liked to play video games, reading and watching Sci-fi books and movies, and just drinking a beer with his buddies. Tony loved his family tremendously and enjoyed spending time with them. He would either be singing off key to family members and pets or spoiling his grandkids. He just loved being with them. Tony passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident having attained the age of 51 years. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Jennifer Clark of the home; his mother: Jeanne VanFosson (Virgil) of Red Oak, IA; two children: Emily Weeks (Dillon) of Red Oak, IA and Tarra Clark of Sioux City, IA; three grandchildren: Elizabeth, Olivia, and Klayton; sister: Tammi Redd of Coburg, IA; mother-in-law: Clarice Quaschnick of Spearfish, SD; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Following the service, outside of Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel will be the Last Alarm Service performed by Offutt Air Force Base Fire and Emergency Services. Procession to the Evergreen Cemetery for burial with Military Honors by the Offutt USAF Military Honor Guard and Red Oak Court of Honor. Friends and family are welcome to gather for fellowship after the burial at the Eagles Lodge in Red Oak, Iowa. Memorials can be directed to the family of Tony Clark and left at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
