Birthplace: Omaha, Nebraska Resided In: Amelia Clara Jennings-Douthit, the daughter of Lydia Douthit and Tyler Jennings was born and died Saturday morning, July 2, 2011 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Amelia is survived by her parents, Lydia Douthit and Tyler Jennings of Red Oak, Iowa; Godparents, David and Morgan Frank; grandparents, Kenneth Douthit and Christina Volquartson of Red Oak, Iowa, Lisa Douthit and Todd Bruce of Red Oak, Iowa; great grandparents, Levi and Mary Franks of Red Oak, Iowa, Al and Elaine Bruce of Stanton, Iowa and Arvid and Dorotha Peterson of Red Oak, Iowa; an uncle, Eliot Douthit of Ft. Jackson, South Carolina; the Jennings and Norris families of Red Oak, Iowa; along with many other relatives and family friends. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the First Christian Church in Red Oak, Iowa with Rev. Joanne Thomas officiating. There was a private family burial in the Essex Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established. The Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak is in charge of arrangements.
