Birthplace: Rural Essex, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Allie Hadden, age 84, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Allie Daniel Hadden was born February 16, 1921 near Essex, Iowa the daughter of Daniel and Carrie (Jackson) Hadden. She was raised near Essex graduating from Essex High School in 1939. Allie was united in marriage to Glenn Hadden in Sherman, Texas and to this union was born a son, Jim. Allie, Glenn and Jim lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa for eight years until Glenn's death in 1960 at which time Allie and Jim moved back to their home in Red Oak. Allie was a nurse's aid for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister: Bessie Ruth; brother: George during WWII; husband: Glenn in 1960; brother: Wilson; three half sisters: Golda and Dora Hadden and Flora Howery; and daughter-in-law: Susan Hadden on August 7, 2004. Survivors include her son: Jim Hadden of Red Oak, Iowa; brother: Don Hadden of Essex, Iowa; nephew: Terry Hadden of Essex, Iowa; and niece: Michelle Hadden of Texas. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. JoAnn Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Essex, Iowa Cemetery. There will be open visitation at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
