Albert Henry Reich, age 92, of Red Oak, Iowa went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2026, at his home in Red Oak, Iowa. Albert Reich was born on May 10, 1934, in Indian Gap, Texas, the second eldest son of Gotlieb and Bertha (Nauret) Reich. He graduated from Early High School and received a degree in education from Howard Payne University. His first teaching position was at a rural school in Wyoming teaching all subjects in grades four through eight. God’s plan in taking Albert to Wyoming was for him to meet Sandra (Sandy) Menzies. They were married in February 1963 and were blessed with five children. Albert and his family lived in Douglas and Wheatland, Wyoming; San Antonio, Pottsville, Corpus Christi, Bishop, Rockport and Houston, Texas, during his teaching career. He retired in 1996 and spent his retirement years in Brownwood, Texas and Red Oak, Iowa.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Lisa at age seven; son: Dale at age 39; brothers: Pastor Raymond Reich, Leroy Reich, Norman Reich, and Monroe Reich; great great grandson Emmitt at age 6 weeks.
Abert is survived by his wife: Sandy Reich of Red Oak, Iowa; sons: Gene Reich and wife Annita, and Bruce Reich all of Red Oak, Iowa; daughter: Glenda and husband Tracy Thompson of Omaha, Nebraska; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
A visitation with the family will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Monday, July 13, 2026, at LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 17, 2026, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownwood, Texas. Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery in Early, Texas.
