Albert Lee Newlon, age 64, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home after an extended illness. Albert was born January 10, 1959, in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of Harry and Margaret (Fuller) Newlon. He was raised in Red Oak graduating from Red Oak High School in 1977. Over the years, Albert worked for Batten Sanitation and then retired from Parker Hannifin in 2022 after 30 years of employment. Albert was united in marriage to Clarissa Milgrove on January 7, 1984, in Red Oak, Iowa where they made their home and raised their two boys, Harry and Kenny. Albert's hobbies included fishing, metal detecting, gardening, listening to music, going to concerts, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved going to all their sporting events. He was also a Washington Red Skins fan.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Clarissa Newlon of Red Oak, Iowa; sons: Harry Newlon and wife Heather of Elliott, Iowa and Kenny Newlon and partner Rachel Whitehill of Silver City, Iowa; three grandchildren: Parker, Leo, and Bennett; sister: Candice Armstrong of Bellevue, Nebraska and Cecil Armstrong of Glenwood, Iowa; sisters-in-law: Bulinda Coates and husband Marty of Red Oak, Iowa and Sharon Wiese and husband Jeff of Orange Beach, Alabama; many niece, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2-4 PM Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Pool Hall. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
