Birthplace: Corning, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Marty E. Bissell, age 65, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Care Center. Marty Eugene Bissell was born May 28, 1947 in Corning, Iowa the son of Louis and Jean (Krauth) Bissell. He was raised in Corning where he attended school. After school he started with Golden Sun Seed working in the feed business. He was united in marriage to Donna Haley on June 8, 1969 and they made their home in Corning. Marty started working at D & L Company in Red Oak in 1972 and moved to Red Oak in 1976. He worked for the company through many changes until RO Mech decided to close the facility in Red Oak. Marty loved NASCAR and professional wrestling. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife: Donna Bissell of Red Oak, IA; daughters: Traci Bissell and Jennifer Green of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Brooklyn Neligh of Shenandoah, IA and Jade Schultz of Villisca, IA; mother: Jean Bissell of Corning, IA; brothers: Byron Bissell and wife Margie of Tucson, AZ and Rick Bissell and wife Jolene of Corning, IA; sister: Jaris Carspecken and husband Denny of Las Vegas, NV; sisters-in-law: Pat Trusty and husband Tom of Omaha, NE; Vicki Hensley of Sidney, IA; and Annette Beason of Shenandoah, IA; brothers-in-law: Dennis Haley and wife Donna of Corning, IA and Terry Haley and wife Terri of Omaha, NE; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held 3 PM Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Prairie Rose Cemetery in Adams County, Iowa. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel, Red Oak, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
