Birthplace: Massena, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Margaret Elaine Hardy, age 67, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Margaret was born July 6, 1947 in Massena, Iowa the daughter of Clark and Valera (Edwards) Dory. She graduated from the Walnut High School in 1966 and was united in marriage to Eugene Hardy on September 14, 1968 in Omaha, Nebraska. They moved to the Stanton area and have lived most of their married life in Red Oak, Iowa. Margaret worked for many years at Red Oak Greenhouse and currently for Nishna Production, Inc. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, working, and taking trips to Branson and Texas. Preceding her in death were her parents; son: Michael Hardy on May 31, 1990; and a sister: Nancy. Survivors include her husband: Eugene Hardy of Red Oak; son: Mark Hardy and wife Rhonda of Adamsville, TN; daughter: Sherry Hardy of Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren: Michaela Crawley of Atlantic, IA; Bryce Hardy of Nashville, TN; Kyle Hardy of Adamsville, TN; Conner Hardy and Caleb Hardy of Hernando, MS; Michael Chase of Council Bluffs; and Nicole Kimpson of Council Bluffs; great grandchildren: Ayden, Valerie, and Yuliza; brother: Clark; sisters: Marilyn, Beverly, Shirley, Sandy, and Rose Mary; brother-in-law: Dee Hardy and wife Shirley of Red Oak; sister-in-law: Peggy Morrison of Red Oak; and many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Pastor Len Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
