Birthplace: Hamburg, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Kenny D. Kesterson, age 58, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Wednesday, July 05, 2006 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Kenny Dale Kesterson was born April 6, 1948 in Hamburg, Iowa the son of Russell and Helen (Houget) Kesterson. He was raised in Tabor, Iowa graduating from the Tabor High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Toni Riggle on October 18, 1969 in Rancho Cordova, California. After Kenny's military service, he and Toni lived all of their married life in Red Oak, Iowa. Kenny worked at the Eaton Corporation in Shenandoah until retiring after 30 years of service this past year. He enjoyed woodworking, reading and bowling. Kenny was preceded in death by his mother and a son: Martin William Kesterson. Survivors include his wife: Toni Kesterson of Red Oak, Iowa; son: Matt Kesterson and his fiancé Kellie Jones of Red Oak, Iowa; daughter: Angela Travis and husband Duane of Red Oak, Iowa; grandchildren: Hilary Kesterson, Corey Travis, and Cameron Travis, all of Red Oak, Iowa; Kellie's children: Lindsey, Tyler, Sarah, and Brooklynn of Red Oak, Iowa; Father: Russell Kesterson of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters: Twyla Kesterson of Green River, Utah and Myrna Kellison and husband Edward of Marietta, Florida; brother: Roger Kesterson and wife Nadine of Farmington, New Mexico; brother-in-law: Chuck Riggle and wife Betty of Red Oak, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, July 8, 2006 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Pastor Trevor Skalberg officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Friday, July 7, 2006 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Rescue Unit. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
