Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Omaha, NE formerly Elliott, IA Dennis K. Collins, age 60, of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Elliott, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Ambassador Care Facility after a long hard fought battle with MS. Dennis Keith Collins was born July 6, 1951 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Richard and Nadene (Archer) Collins. He was raised in Iowa and California. Upon his return to Red Oak, Iowa, Dennis met and was eventually married to Kathy Perdue on October 28, 1971 in Elliott, Iowa. Together they had two beautiful daughters: Dennell and Carra. Dennis was a tool and die worker for many years moving to Omaha, Nebraska in 1989. His favorite thing on this earth besides his family was riding his "Harley". Have a great ride Dennis!!! You will be missed! Survivors include his daughters: Dennell Harris of Waxahachie, TX and Carra McCart and husband Matthew of Thurman, IA; grandchildren: Phoenix, Cydney, Collin, Emma, Kyela, and Anthony; parents: Nadene Archer Collins of Phoenix, AZ and Richard Collins of Torrance, CA; sister: Barbara Verlengiere and husband Arthur of Nipomo, CA; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. Len Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
