Coleen Bullington, age 68, of Emerson, Iowa passed away Friday, June 15, 2001 in Sweeny, Texas after a sudden illness. Coleen Bullington was born January 29, 1933 in Eldorado, Kansas the daughter of Bert and Alice (Hartley) Shoenberger. She was united in marriage to Max Bullington on August 27, 1950 at the Champion Hill Presbyterian Church. Coleen and Max lived in Brazoria, Texas for many years moving back to Emerson, Iowa in 1995 to live on the family farm. Max preceded her in death on August 18, 1999. Coleen is survived by two sons: Richard Bullington of Emerson, Iowa; and David Bullington of Brazoria, Texas; a daughter: Mary Katherine Earley of Brazoria, Texas; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, June 23, 2001 at the Walnut Cemetery in rural Montgomery County, Iowa with the Rev. Janice Carlton officiating. There will be visitation with the family held from 7-8 PM Friday, June 22, 2001 At the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak.
