So sorry to hear about Max's passing. Last I heard from Mom (Marilyn Kahler), he had gotten a laptop for Christmas. You are all in my prayers and hoping the family visitation will comfort you all.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.” God’s blessing to your family as you rejoice in the memories of Max. Good Samaritan Society Administrator, Brandi Petrik

We were delighted when Max agreed to be interviewed for our newsletter at Good Samaritan Society last year. It was so heartwarming to see his beautiful smile when he talked about the family he loved so much and the wife he loved so dearly, yet missed ad infinitum.

When asked if he had any advice for other married couples, in typical Max fashion, he quickly and confidently had an answer.

“First and foremost, it’s very important to have God in your life. Second, make decisions together. If decisions are too big, they go to God (long pause, nod, wink, and huge smile); that made my job pretty easy.” -Max Lee Miller-

What a man.

May your memories of Max bring you many reasons to pause, nod, wink, and smile – and your faith bring you great comfort.

So very sorry to learn of the passing of Max. I came to know Max while he lovingly took care of Margaret in the hospital. He was a devoted husband, he tried his very best to be there everyday to share lunch with her.I was in ah of the love and devotion between them.Even when he was in the hospital,He always had a smile and kind word to share, and He had a pretty good since of humor too! I'm sure they are both in a better place, in the arms of GOD. Bless you all, and thoughts and prayers are with you.

Marla, Michelle, Barb, Dawn, and Mark,
Growing up, I never heard "Max" or "Margaret", but always "Max and Margaret". What wonderful people! I hope there is some comfort in knowing they are sharing eternity together. Weather is keeping me home today, but my heart is with you.
